Ceremonial Start
As in previous years, the start ceremony will take place in the city of Guanajuato, where more than 30 thousand people will gather in a 3-kilometer tour through the colonial streets of the city. The starting ramp will be framed by the Alhóndiga de Granaditas, an emblematic landmark from Mexico's Independence, where a dazzling show of light and sound will present the drivers and cars.
Widely recognised as one of the most colorful in the Championship, the start now kicks off the formal start of the rally, with the DC Shoes Guanajuato Street Stage, a short special stage that takes the rally cars into the Earth to compete in the old mining tunnels of this fantastic city. The stage itself is quite tricky, with a cobblestone surface, the odd damp patch, and cold tyres.
