DC Shoes Guanajuato Street Stage to be broadcast live on TV and Internet
After the massive success of the DC Shoes Guanajuato Street Stage in 2011, Rally Guanajuato Mexico organizers have this year decided to make it easier for fans to enjoy the action up close. So now, those who are unable to come in person will be able to witness for themselves the start of this the third date of this year’s WRC calendar on TV or via the Internet.
The DC Shoes Guanajuato Street Stage, which will be the first timed stage of Rally Guanajuato Mexico, will commence at 20:00 hrs on March 8 from the Alhóndiga de Granaditas, in the centre of Guanajuato, before following a 1-km route along the city’s streets and through its tunnels.
For those fans unable to attend the start of this sporting fiesta, TV4 Guanajuato will be broadcasting the night’s action live. The production crew working to send the satellite signal transmitting the event will be using a total of nine cameras, two mobile units, and be made up of a team of professionals who will be spread out along the route ready to capture every second as the World Rally Cars race by.
As if that weren’t enough, the entire world will be able to watch as images are streamed live via the Team Telmex website www.escuderiatelmex.com
The commentary on the event heard by those watching on TV or over the Net will be the same heard by those there in person at the Alhóndiga de Granaditas, so viewers will feel as if they’re just a few inches away from the action.
For the fans, who usually start to congregate in the surrounding streets hours before the event to ensure they get the right spot to get the best view of the DC Shoes Guanajuato Street Stage, there will be a new option available. To allow spectators to follow the entire route, three giant screens are to be installed, one on the city’s Los Pastitos roundabout, one at its Juárez Theatre and the other at the Alhóndiga de Granaditas itself.
So that’s how Rally Guanajuato Mexico is working to provide the best possible live coverage for all the fans, whether it be the ones who come to Guanajuato on the four days of the event from March 8 to 11, or those watching at home around the world.
