STAGE FLASH 12
The stage featured a new jump into the flying finish.
Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA
“It’s not been a troublefree morning. We lost quite some time on the first stage. No spare tyre left so I
was trying to drive very clean.” When questioned about ‘dirty tactics’, he said: “I am not aware about
that…”
Car 5. MEEKE/MARSHALL
Gingerly off the start line and nursing his Yaris WRC through the stage after the puncture in SS11. He
dropped over 1min 45sec in the stage. “Something (problem) with the upright. It’s like that. Citroën
played some dirty tactics this morning, but we will see.”
Car 6. SORDO/DEL BARRIO
Misjudged a 90 left-hander and clipped the banking by a tree and lost a few seconds. “There is
something wrong with the rear wheel. We touched a small stone on the outside of a corner.”
Car 8. TÄNAK/JÄRVEOJA
“It’s not for me to decide (for a win)….”
Car 10. LATVALA/ANTTILA
Tied for fastest time with Ogier on 4min 40.0sec. “It was good. I did a bit of a push and I am quite happy
with that.”
Car 11. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL
“I’m not really happy to be honest. I tried to survive and avoid the punctures. We have to go for more of
a push this afternoon because Kris is behind. We need to work on the car to get it working properly.”
Car 33. EVANS/MARTIN
“We were trying in here. I’m sure we picked up a puncture half way through. It didn’t feel right on the
rear left.”
Car 89. MIKKELSEN/JAEGER-AMLAND
“Very loose. I tried as hard as I can. I pushed to the maximum but it is not easy to push any harder in
there.”
Car 21. PIENIAZEK/HELLER
“I tried to find my confidence back. It’s going well. We got a puncture on the last stage. We tried to keep
going very safe. We are enjoying this.”
Car 41. GUERRA/ZAPATA
“We just got the first place and we are really happy. We will continue to push in the afternoon. Our lead
now will be over 10 seconds (WRC 2 – 12.5 seconds).”
Car 42. BULACIA/CRETU
“Today will be more difficult than yesterday. We will keep fighting for the first place (WRC 2).”
Car 44. HELLER/DIAZ
“I am happy. A good rhythm this morning. Now we wait for the afternoon stages. It is a difficult day but
we are trying to improve again.”
