Car 5. MEEKE/MARSHALL
Limped around the stage and was reported to be stuck in a gear. “It is always eventful on this rally. We
picked up a puncture and some suspension damage. I don’t know if it was wet. We had to carry a
problem with the gearbox through the last stage. I was stuck in second gear. A tough day for everyone.
I alao want to apologise to Citroën for any accusation I may have made this morning. I didn’t have all
the facts.”
Car 6. SORDO/DEL BARRIO
“Honestly first pass today was nice. We change the car for the second pass and it was not too nice for
the traction. Some parts of the stages tomorrow will be clean. Its not the same now the fight. When you
are in the fight the mind is different.”
Car 8. TÄNAK/JÄRVEOJA
“Afternoon we tried hard. The road conditions were quite okay but hard tyres and a changing surface,
the grip was unpredictable. I was trying to push and be on the limit all the time. Tomorrow will be more
interesting.”
Car 33. EVANS/MARTIN
“Bit disappointed to be honest. It was a good morning but giving away so much on the long one was
disappointing. We lost a few seconds more than we needed to.”
Car 89. MIKKELSEN/JAEGER-AMLAND
“It’s been good training for the future. It has been tricky. It has been loose out there. I am second out on
the road tomorrow. So it is a bit better.”
